What does Organic actually mean?
The guiding principle of organic agriculture is to attain the highest level of food quality through the sustainable use of nature. In practice that means:
• Dispensing with synthetic chemical pesticides and fertilizers, as well as genetic engineering
• Exclusively using natural fertilizers, ensuring animal welfare and using organic feed
Organic farming has to follow clearly defined legal regulations. Compliance with these regulations is monitored at least once per year by independent inspection bodies.
